i head out to my scan spot to start looking through the belts. i can see them on 360 but cannot seem to find anything on 5. so i decide to sit in a belt and wait. nothing comes. i grow bored and tired and make one last attempt at 5 degree scans and i get a hit, a punisher on planet 6! this is too good to pass up and will be easy for me to pop if i can get a lock on him before he bolts. i warp into to planet 6 area at 0 and viola, there he is and ready to fight.

So this is my first entry on eve-pirate and one of my first few times
at pirating. Forgive me if this is badly written or not too awfully
interesting, hopefully with time and a little more experience in both
areas it will get better .....
Our story begins in Horkkisen, a dead end system right beside Eitu and
Erila. Horkkisen is a low sec system (.4) so most of the time if we
pirate we do it in the belts or at the plex gate for fear of being
ripped to shreds by sentry guns, that is unless someone decides to
aggress us first on gate. Anyhow, a few friends of mine finally found
the time to meet and play between work, which in our case is just
short of a miracle. We had devised what we thought would be a pretty
good pirating plan, scan someone down, warp in, point, and kill until
we could ask for a ransom. (I am going to use real names in this story
as i don't think there were any hard feelings between any of us) Robhe
was flying his newly acquired vengeance, an Amarrian assualt frig,
which is great for tank and tackle but not so hot on dps. I was also
flying an Amarr AF, the retribution which is an absolutely amazing
tank and dps dealer but sadly is gimped with only one mid slot so
basically robhe tackled and i (kalebhuff) dealt dps. We also had a
third memeber of our party, Laroqu, who was a fair nooblet still
within his 14 day free trial. We had him in a punisher and he was set
up to basically, as much as i hated to say it, be our "bait." He would
sit in a belt, pretend he was ratting and when someone aggressed he
would throw down a point and hopefully we could make it in before he
got popped . As soon as we landed in horkk I popped open the scanner
and had a quick look, we had a brutix and caracal on scan. First we
split up. I would check the plex gate and robhe and laroqu would start
on opposite ends of the belts and work their way inward. As fate would
have it laroqu found both the caracal and brutix working together
ratting in one of the last belts...muahahahahahah!!! I got ready, and
warped in on laroqu, robhe and I landed at about the same time.
Immediately the brutix set in on me and unleashed his drones (tech 1 hammerheads i believe..shoulda had t2).
He honestly wasnt doing too much damage because we were speed tanking and repping just fine, even laroqu in his t1 punisher.
After about 5 minutes he went pop...WOOOO! Our first kill! Then we moved onto the caracal, for some reason he hadn't warped off, call it loyalty or just not thinking, he was there. So we sent laroqu after him to pin him down. Here is where the story takes an interesting turn...after we had him pinned, one of my corp mates Kardea, warped in to give us a little back up. However he didnt realize that laroqu was friendly and had not been invited into the corp yet. He finished of the caracal in a matter of seconds, and then...proceeded to aggress laroqu. Immediately i start slamming the private chat we had been in "LAROQU IS FRIENDLY! STOP SHOOTING HIM!" It took Kardea about 5 seconds to pop laroqu and then he preceeded to traget his pod. Again I slam private chat, then slam local "LAROQU FRIENDLY!!!!!" All the while laroqu remains silent on coms, quietly accepting his fate. After he was killed Kardea apologized and laroqu wasnt upset, as his setup was easily replaceable. I am actually going to include a text message sent to my wife from his mom quoting laroqu while the whole thing went down, it was actually pretty funny to see how non gaming women view the game....
(Laroqu (Andy's) mom to my wife) So Andy is sitting over here going
"We've got someone in the system!!!!!
we've got someone in the system!!! Oh cardao is helping us.
I think Cardao is killing me.
Cardao is about to pop me
he already blew my ship up.
I got potted..."
This story has a little background to it, so if you don't care and want to skip down a bit, it's marked.

Single Target in-bound. I had dropped out of warp less than fifteen seconds ago and already a target! Rifter class frigate. Thought spans in all directions, as my ship fires all engines, leans into a tight orbit, slips into partial warp with the Micro Warp Drive, and the concentration shifts to locking the target. All modules stand ready as my sensors pinpoint their target. I can feel my mouth water, I have to force I swallow.
Lock. A brief moment everything dims as all modules light off. Warp Scrambler, Statis Webifier, and Four Nosferatu modules. Almost as quickly, energy surges back in to the capacitors, bleeding the target dry.
The Drones, already armed, spill from their hiding place, blazing towards the target. Their first combined volley tears away the Rifter shields. No big accomplishment there, but when the second and third sear and char their way through the Rifter’s armor and into his hull I giggle. I command a ceasefire to the drones.
I hail my target. Two Hundred Thousand ISK. Short and sweet. I'm nervous at this point, I'd rather not become someone else's kill. This is taking too long. I start counting off over comms.
... A reply. "1 second"
One Decimal Five.
One and One Third.
One Decimal One.
Another message, begging "I'm a new pilot"
The drones eagerly jump to life. Their first volley ignore what little shield recharge had occurred in the interval. Pieces of the Rifter go spewing in all direction as that one lucky round ruptures the Fusion Core.
The Escape Pod flies past my Thorax, already initiated into Warp. That's fine. There will be others.
I hit Warp again; I spent too long in that belt. Next time I'll know not to wait so long. After a few belts my mind wanders back to the plasma cloud burning freely from my last target. What beauty is to be found in destruction!
Proximity alert! My warp drive had already aligned to the next belt. Scanners already cleared their cache. What was that?
I stop in this belt and fire up the MWD. I want some distance between me and the opponent. Local comms start to chatter. I'm being hunted! The thrill sparks again. A whole new rush, not of the kill, but of the chase.
I let my eagerness gets the best of me. I allow my position to slip over comms, and within seconds a Rupture class cruiser warps in. With over 243km between us, I realize that I am still in control of this fight. Just then, some Angel Militia Pirate's warp in to investigate. My opponent quickly dispatches them. In fact, so quick that my surprise attack doesn't succeed. I couldn't align that fast.
The same dance begins. Lock. All systems initiate. Drones released. I hear the larger Auto Cannons of my opponent penetrating my shielding, tearing into my armor. Enemy Drones sending their Lasers into my hull, separating steel from structure. I increase orbit and try firing some Smart Bombs that I had fitted to shake the drones, open distance to prevent Auto Cannon damage, but it was too late. Modules and main systems alike were shutting down. Damage controls had failed and most of the ship had de-pressurized. Now I watch from my escape Pod as my Fusion Core erupts. I chuckle, as the odd tingle the Pod has in its warp shudders through me, and I make a clean getaway back home.
Once at a safe distance I pull my attacker up on comms. I thank him, now I know what to be cautious for, I have learned. One more lesson, one more step towards my destiny.
I return to station and browse the markets for my next combat ship. I run a few simulations for Capacitor Efficiency, Shield and Armor Durability, and Weapon Damage Outputs.
But before I have a chance to make any purchases, other pilots from my corporation send me a fleet invite. We have a war target trying to make his way towards Rens.
I ponder a moment. Haste requires a ship already fitted, in hangar, and ready to fly. I put out the alert, scramble my Jaguar for immediate departure!
The Hunt Is On!

I did meet up with a startup pirate corp, and went so far, far away to a system called "Jan" The galaxy was a lot bigger than I had imagined. Here I found out two things. One: T2 fittings and ships beat T1. And Two: I had no way to pay for or fly such things.
So my course was this- I make a fortune and pay for these things, and train constantly as hard as I could until I was the best! I invested in Learning Skills so I could train harder and faster than I supposed any other pilot could, and researched fitting schemes and money making ventures....
... I woke up. A year and a half later, there were foreign objects in the POD fluid, and I’m still aching from detox. I don't know where I am, no familiar stars are in view. I had been piloting the same ship class I had fantasized about, only it's scatted remains were in orbit with me around an unfamiliar moon. I rebooted my Navigation system and found that I was 44 jumps outside of any CONCORD presence. What I had been doing out here was still baffling me. I checked my comm systems, most of the data there was either encrypted or corrupted. A few sparse messages informed me that I had joined up with an alliance and then had been removed. My assets had been removed from my hangar and I was wanted. Infamy it seemed was not something I enjoyed. I'm not sure how I had escaped the same wrath the debris of my once proud ship had endured. That thought alone got my heart racing. Panic sobered me the rest of the way up and I stressed my ship systems in getting "home". I few close calls but thankfully my brain still knew how to fly this thing better than I ever remembered. I had dozens of "Books" downloaded that I cannot remember fully to this day, but I always seem to come up with the answer.
Lost and confused, I was accepted into a corporation to help with their industry concern. Oddly, I had also been trained in that too, although it bores me to no end.
Another year has passed. I have enjoyed the company of numerous pilots and been hired into a few corporations since. I finally have been accepted back into society and even get jobs from an agent or two from Brutor Tribe. I'm back in my homeland and it feels great...
The local channel fires up. A Pilot was upset that no one would "take his can" Producing such a challenge was not too smart, someone might take him up on it. I jump into my trusty Rifter. I open his can. Flagged for combat, his friends uncloak and I barely get my pod back into station. He laughs and informs me that if he had lost to a Rifter he would have quit flying.
Anger! Just like in those first long months. I have not felt this way in years. Only today, I have a generous account, the skill to fly ships of any race, and well, and the support of numerous other pilots.
I place a "Buy Order" on the markets for a Thorax. They have a deadly potential, and I have been researching other ships for more capabilities...
I will have my fleet, I will have my revenge. 3

Vaere has a nice sky and a familiar layout, best place to start on my way. The trusty old incursus is renamed: 'stinkursus'. old Dihania's Vexor is renamed: 'vexocraptor'. Than stinkurusus leaves the ship hangars of the station and flaots silently in the space through the undock.
Not much point for scannin I reckon and there is no one else to argue with that, alone. Belt one, empty, belt 2 empty, belt 3 empty.. by now I'm asking is this is the right thing to do, but than, vexor mining in a can. I get closer , jetisson 1 piece of antimatter and than switch the minerals in the can.
The 'victim' stops mining and I stay and watch, will it agress? will it obliterate me ? will it just start mining again ? DRONES COME OUT! I try and scramble and target the drones, I soon realise I have no chance and run. Yes, run. No point in loosing a ship and the crew when you can fight another day. But it's not just that....
Soon the vexociraptor leaves the station towards the belt. I can't wait so I start scanning this time and yes, he is there. I slowly move towards the enemy hsip blinking red. I check info, he is in a much much large corp (mine has only me ). I try quickly to asess local and find he has 2 mates in the area. Still, no time to back off, time to see some action, much needed action.
1, 2, 3 small nosferatus engage the enemy, 1, 2 small neuts soon follow. web is in full effect and the scrambler makes it's second cycle. nothing can change my course now. I target his dornes and start killing them with my trusted wave of warriors. A couple minutes later he has no drones and has enagged the self destruct sequence. I check local again, he has no more mates in local.. some corp, I'd rather be alone... The timer counts down but just as I'm about to lose hope, he reached hull and soon becomes cosmic dust.
Not much was gained fomr the wreak, but it has sealed my path. The vexociraptor docks and Vaere goes silent yet again.
A new day begins and the excitement of the kill is still echoing. Time to roame the belts again and find more, much more targets. But Vaere is silent, 20 in local, missin running, passing by, reading the news..
So the stinkursus makes it's way to the nreby system of alentene, a better populated system but with only 3 belts.
This proved to be fruitfull, as in the second belt a huge gang is mining in a can. I stick around and observe as in slow motion the cycles of the covetor reaping teh asteroid of it precious ores and miner drones serving their master. As time goes by I notice the iteron III coming out of warp and aproaching the can, then moving away, and warping off. Time to check those contents before the beast gets it all.
I make haste and burn the ships afterburners to full speed on a colision course with the covetor near the can, and bang, direct hit. The huge ship moves a bit and I have to reaproach the can. 1 peace of antimatter goes in space and a new can apears on the overview. Soon after the old can explodes in cosmic dust.
And than I wait. The modules are on, prepared to be fired, the blood fills the veins and the pulse goes like a crazed drumer on votka. And than the gang moves, the miner drones are called back in and soon new drones come out of some of the bays. And sooner than I think I'm in armor, and the repper is barely cycling when I'm reaching hull... phew, emergency wapr iniated and I'm safe at a planet. The stinkursus docks and I go stare at the alentene sun and figure this out.. yes, must get the vexociraptor here asap. Shuttle, undock, warp, jump... time slips away and the vexociraptor reaches alentene local.
As I search the bookmarks I realise I have none. This is not good. I make haste and soon the out of warp land me 10 km away form my taget. I can't believe the covetors is still there, but not only that, it is mining peacefully like nothing has happened. Timer is in full check and I can pound the ignorant fool for the next 4 minutes. Plenty of time to travel the 10km and destroy him.
Nos is active, neutralizers are active, scrambler and web are go and 5 hammerheads exit the drone bay.
But wait, the iteron beast has returned and has just taken the contents of my can. AND I just got myself two targets
In no time I hit afterburner and hit the industrial, switch the scrambler fomr the covetor to the iteron and the covetor explodes leaving a wreack just for me. And in no time the iteron follows. I've sent tthem to ship heaven.
And yes "'strips' come from a can, they were put there by a man"

At first few explanations
- gazillion times heard excuse "English aren't my native language" stays tuned this time.
- this is my first story, I thought worth to tell, so please be patient with it
- in real life I was, kindly left by my gf to play eve on Saturday’s evening.
- in eve, I had two active wardecs on my 2 months old gallentian ass, means flight conditions were dangerous.
- two corps: 20 old and active pilots with mostly t2 ships and modules (intel info with alt) against one man corp.
- few days ago, I left all combat ships and jumped about 16 jumps aside from war operation area, because was not very happy with how this war was going on. So I thought to myself, I would give them one boring war.
- in middle of this journey, I stopped in Gallente trade hub, there I bought and fitted Myrmidon, hoping to find new troubles.
- one bad thing though - enemy followed. Of course, they look like mission runners, so I guess they know how to use location agents.

So I took a little break from pirating to get some money. I was doing missions....eww. Me and my friend ended up starting a corp. Bla bla bla. It was going well, but I decided I couldn't pirate for a while. We had quite a few newer players, and if we got wardecc'd, it wouldn't be good for them.
So anyway, I'm getting totally fed up with missions, so I took out a rifter to rat.
So I'm ratting. Same ol' same ol'. Orbit at 10km, turn on my SBII, and my guns. Then I chat.
After while, I switch rats.
Then, someone with low sec status warps in on me. My heart starts pumping harder and harder as he locks me. I'm back in business.

Having had a busy day I was looking forward to hoping onto eve and blowing a few things up with the guys in my alliance. I logged in to discover them about 6-7 jumps from my current system. I logged into our vent coms, said my hello's and asked what everyone was up to. Apparently they were in the djimame system building up to go protect a POS belonging to one of our alliance members ally of old.
The enemy was the Royal Hiigaran Navy, a corp I had not heard of before. I set my destination and proceded to make my jumps into the apropriate system. Upon getting there, we immediatly jumped to angur, then moved on to the POS. On our approach we all bounched off the shields, whoops forgot to input the password. After we all had put in the PW to enter the shields we warped back in and went about telling them what they could do to improve their defenses.
After sitting there for a while we started to get bored. Our commander sent me and my little enyo out to scout the enemy ships that were in system. After checking all the stations and having deemed that they were not docked, I narrowed them down in an SS near the sun. After reporting my findings our commander, darkside101, (whom I will refer to as dark from now on) ordered me to scout the gates on both sides, after scouting the third gate and finding more allies on the other side. I reported that nothing was to be found of the enemy forces.

I was in systems looking for war targets, being kinda bored I ran into a dead end system. Getting ready to turn around and go out, I hit my scanner on a whim. What came up kinda surprised me, I had 2 rokh, and a retriever on scans. All mining. Well not one to pass anything up, I decided to hit the retriever because of the mineral output I might get(yes also because it was the easier target, call me a coward I dont care ).
I warp in and see the retriever mining (go figure) and MWD over to his can(s). I bump off one of them and rebound into the miner. Fixing myself I head back to the can, I take a look inside and what do I see? Not much. Only a little bit of veld with some plag. I take a look at the other one, and I start to drool. This can is 1/4 full of kernite.......mmm delicious kernite, plus some other ore. I procede to flip the first one and its completely full brother. The miner does nothing at first, then turns and warps off. "Oh well" I thought, free ore.
I go get my iteron, and began the ore hauling process. While i was doing this a prophecy warped in and started approaching the cans full of "my" ore. Completely aware what he was about to do, I warped to the station where I had put my thorax and returned to find him blinking red. I started my orbit and launched my drones. Once I was all set up into my orbit, I locked and opened up with my blasters, along with the nos drones and web/scram. He wasnt going anywhere.
As I began to slowly eat through his shields, I realized I was in for a long fight. My blasters did their job though along with my 5 light t2 drones (would have had mediums, but I was out looking for war inties) He starts hitting me with the pew pew, and some missiles. The lasers didnt really do anything but those missiles ate through my shields pretty quick.
Once into my armor though thats where he stopped, he didnt have the dps to break into my tank. I slowly ate at this guy through his shields, then into his armor, then finally into structure. Man this was taking forever, I shut off my repper as he was half structure, to preserve my dwindling cap power. He slowly munched into my armor, but not enough to have me worry. Finally I saw the explosion that I had been waiting for all this time, and it was beautiful. Looking into the wreck I found a couple T1 items that were at least worth the battle. So total, I made between 8-10 mil from this fight including the sellage of all that ore. Thinking back I should have ransomed him, but unfortunatly when I get into a fight I lose it and dont think just act, call me insane if you will. Now the killmail because I know you love it. (names left out as per their request(I spoke with them later on to ask and apparently they were told to run from me because the guy I had killed was a "seasoned" pvper))

It all started out as a boring day with me sitting in a station talking to random people and corp members. I undocked for a bit, just to see what was happening because something was always happening here (high sec folks) with the wars and all. It wasnt long before some shooting started and some pilot got smacked by concord.
Looting his wreck I found a bunch of nummy t2 items but selected all and clicked and dragged. The first thing i grabbed was a 800 cap booster charge and my tiny rifter couldnt hold anything else, so someone came and snagged all that t2 stuff before I could jettison the cap charge.
Well I just sat there a little longer and before long somebody took my cap charge I had left there (completely forgot about it) the guy was in a thrasher and I expect was looking for an easy kill. I redocked and pulled out my thorax (lovely ship that is).
I proceded to lock scram and web him while pounding him with what I had. He redocked and thus started the local smack talk (sorry didnt keep the convo) -skip ahead 1 hour- I was back at the same station and found he had re-ejected that cap charge so I took it back just waiting for the fight. Sure enough he redocked and came out in a bellicose so it began, I relocked him, he fired I returned jammed and webbed with my 4 blasters going and my nos he went pretty quick, coupled with my 5 t2 med drones he didnt see till it was to late, and I ate this kid alive.
Halfway through dealing with him his buddy in a nemesis undocks, and fires on me. Kinda stupid I know but hey. So I get through with the bellicose and switch targets faster than ive ever seen myself do it. But with my repper going and keeping my tank solid I barely felt the 200+ dmg he did with those cruise missiles. Only dimly remember getting hit by one or two but apparently I was hit by 5 of them.
Anyways he gets through my shields easily and starts into my armor. WHAM, a missile hit the armor but it only drops a smidgen and my repper easily compensates. I return fire with everything I have and literaly rip him apart. Within seconds the nemesis dropped like a rock so to say. Shields gone in seconds, along with armor, as my blasters and drones do their work. Structure almost insta poped.
Didnt make much off of this fight only about 4 mil or so but it was worth it to shut them both up. Now for the killmail because I know you love it. On a side note both of these guys are a year older than I am.

Alright. I'm off to my new pirating location in Essence, since the anti-pirate alliance, CVA, was cracking down on me in Domain.
I have to jump through some low-sec space, which isn't a problem, but I take off autopilot and start to fly my way there. When I jump through to the next system, I had feeling. A good feeling. Call it dumb luck, or the "Pirate's Sixth Sense." Regardless, I had a feeling.
I jump in, and right from the gate I can see 4 belts. I decided to give them a quick scan and be on my way, when I catch a Ferox in one of those belts. Lucky for me he didn't rename his ship, so I got to check out his credentials. He was still in a starter corp. Nice, a cearbears alt.
Now here's the major decision. I'm in a bleeder Punisher, aptly named Termite, (I take bites out of big things, and I'm hard to get rid of ) and he's in a Caldari BC. "What the hey, I'll give it a shot." I jump in.
Immediatly when I see and lock him, my heart starts racing. I know this is going to be quite a fight. I scram him, and kick on my ab to close the range before he knows what's going on. I get to under 10km away before he gets me locked and sends the drones and missiles my way.
I'm up close now, and shut down my ab to save the cap I know I'll need. I set my nos on him, and target his drones. OUCH! In about 2 seconds he takes down 3/4 of my shields. I kick in the armor repper to prevent him from digging deep into my armor. POP goes one drone. 2 to go. Pop goes the second.... 2 more to go? He let loose another drone. He has 3 drones out again. My armor is half gone already.
This is bad.
